Question: How much money can we make?
Answer: Your group will get a check for 35% of every sale at the Distinctive Store.  This does not include any shipping charges or taxes that might be charged.  Your supporters will also have the opportunity to add a donation to their purchase or make a donation instead of purchasing products.  You will receive 92% of all donations.

Question: When do we get our money?
Answer: We will set up a payment schedule that is customized to your organization’s needs.  Some groups like to get checks as quickly and as often as possible.  Others opt for the simpler approach of receiving one large check at the end of a campaign.

Question: How do our buyers get their products?
Answer: All products are sent directly to buyers in the continental U.S. via United Parcel Service (UPS).  The Distinctive Fundraising store features products from a number of different manufacturers.  Orders may be shipped from different locations.

Question: What do we have to do?
Answer: The primary requirement for having a successful campaign is to get people to go to the website and buy products.  The best way to do that is to let people know about your organization and why you are a good cause.  Then they need to be encouraged to go to the store and shop.

 

One of the big benefits of Distinctive Fundraising is that you do not need to spend your time taking orders or distributing products.  But you do need to get people to buy.  You can do that by email, phone or person but you have to do it to be successful.


Question: What is the deal with kids under 13 years old and fund raising on the internet?
Answer: Federal law requires websites that collect personal data from children under 13 years of age to receive parental consent to do so. Children may provide personal information in the form of email addresses and organizations to which they belong. Distinctive Fundraising makes every effort to protect the privacy of all its users and never gives out personal data to third parties. See our privacy policy for more details.

 

Question: How do I sell more and make sure our campaign is successful?
Answer: Selling is scary for some people.  Here are a few pointers to make it easier.
Selling is really mostly about telling your story.  You can’t force someone to buy but you can explain what the campaign is all about.

Question: How Do I buy and make sure the money goes to support the right group?
Answer: Buying from Distinctive Fundraising is easy.  If you get an email directing you to the Distinctive Store that link will take you directly to the Campaign Homepage for the group you want to support.  Any purchases you make from that page will be credited to the right group.  If you don’t have the email and email link, you can also search for the appropriate group.  [link to instructions?]

 

Question: What are my options for supporting a group I care about?
Answer: Buying products is a great way to support a group.  In addition to buying products you can also just make an online donation by selecting the ‘Donation’ product in the store.  You can even buy products and make an additional donation to support the group.


Question: Who is Distinctive Fundraising?
Answer: Distinctive Fundraising LLC was started by 2 guys who were tired of buying and selling traditional fundraising products.  The idea behind the company is that web technology can make it easy for groups all across the United States to raise money by selling quality products.

 

Distinctive Fundraising is committed to the idea of good citizenship and has committed to donating 5% of corporate profits to charity.
